Stroll along the breakwater and order a coffee at the Pavillion cafe. Spot Sammy the seal begging for fish from the jetty or take your rods and throw a line in.

Jumpig off the breakwater into the cool water is a Warrnamboolian rite of passage and a must if you are here in the warmer weather.

Visit some of the widest waterfalls in the southern hemisphere at Hopkins falls, just a short drive from High View.

You can walk to the bottom or enjoy their majesty from the viewing platforms at the top. Definitely worth the trip after heavy rains during the winter months.

Tower Hill Nature Reserve

One of our very favourite local attractions, Tower Hill is the site of an extinct volcano and is a very short drive from High View. Now a nature reserve it will take your breath away as you drive down to the heart of the crater with beautiful wattle and native she-oak trees blanketing it's slopes.

Tower Hill is a great spot for viewing wildlife with emu's always on show, plus plenty of koalas, wallaby's and kangaroos. There's a visitor centre and lots of walks to enjoy plus BBQ facilities.

Warrnambool to Port Fairy Rail Trail

Southwest Victoria has arguably some of the best beaches in Australia. For summer beach fun there are plenty to choose from all within a very short drive of your accomodation.

Some of our favourites include Stingray Bay, Killarney and Pea Soup. Just ask for directions and we'll be happy to show you the way.

We are lucky enough to have the rail trail go right past our front gate. The trail is great for walking or cycling and can take you all the way to Warrnambool through Kellys swamp wetlands or to Port Fairy through farmland and around Koroit. Bring your bikes for an epic adventure that starts right at our front gates.
